Following our listing in the top 10 us mobile entertainment websites for Q3 2008, we continued our strong growth and found ourselves in the list again for Q4 2008 – this time 2 spots higher at #6 – yeah!

Phonezoo user base continues to grow at a significant rate. The audience is mainly “millennials” and reflects the users actively participating in mobile social networking.  On a daily basis, Phonezoo users exchange over 100,000 messages and we wanted to give our users additional avenues for sending messages to other users.

An additional angle was the desire to expand revenue generation streams beyond advertising. Virtual gifts have been the most successful paid services added by social networks – voila – virtual gifts on Phonezoo were born!
