As many Phonezoo users on Verizon have discovered over the past week, there have been long delays in delivery of PIX messages. We understand your frustration and are trying to figure out ways to get the ringtones delivered. Once we send a message out, it goes into the carrier network and beyond that we don’t have any control over if it makes it to your phone or not.
We have learned that there have been problems with the Verizon system and that they are working hard to fix them. PIX messaging is a great service from Verizon and lets give them room to get it back up and running. If you did not get a message, we ask you to please be patient and try again at a later time. Resending the message will only make the problem worse. I am sure they want to get the system back up just as much as all of us. Stay tuned for further updates
Is it really because Verizon is having problems with their system? I dont have any problems receiving pix msgs when my friends send me one. I get it immediately. I get your text msgs too when asked to verify number. But when I try sending ringtones most of the time i dont get it….or if i do it will be the following day.
The Altell system in our area was just recently taken over by verizon. We have had multiple problems from full set of bars to zero bars and now that connections are more stable , messaging with inserts of your pictures don’t make it and I have had the Verizon people tell me not update the towers (*228) it will just make things worse.
However they were interested in selling me a new phone when they couldn’t get my phone to work they said they had put my number in another phone and the picture message had worked. My phone was just activated 7/28/09 so I thought it was fairly new even though its an Altell phone that we were told would work fine with verizon when they took over.
The problem is with Multimedia messages getting to Verizon phones from outside their system. This is what we use to deliver the ringtone. Messages within Verizon (between phones) or text messages (what we use for verification codes) are working fine.
i am having the same problem. i am on verizon and pixs are fine from others but i don’t get my ringtones anymore. i have like 10 from when i first joined about a month to two months ago and now they never seem to get sent. i don’t mind if it comes the next day…..i just would like to get them.
I don’t want ot sound repetitive here, but I’m not getting the rigntones at all. I get texts and pics but no tones. This is my first week on phonezoo and I’m really frustrated and having trouble bringing myself to come back. I hope y’all can get this fixed soon

I finally got it sent to my email but when i forwarded to my phone the ringtone was not there. Help! What did I do wrong.

Perhaps all the Verizon customers should call Verizon and complain. since Verizon no longer migrates tones to new phones maybe they don’t want us to get them.

OK,I got the tone by email, as per the instructions, I went to GET IT NOW->
MUSIC & TONES-> then I find the file in My Sounds but there is no option to make it a ringtone.
HELP!!

how do you get a ringtone that is copyrighted?
I don’t get the ringtones anymore. I get pix messages, but not from phonezoo. It’s irritating too. I really want some ringtones bc i just got a new phone nad i couldnt get my other ones off my phone bc it was broken. Please hurry and get this up and running again. everyone loves this website.
I have 2 accounts with verizon and am very disappointed that we can no longer receive ringtones. I have 5 phones with verizon, maybe I should change carriers so I can get the service I would like. You can foward this to verizon if you like.
We have sent a Ringtone message to the email address on your Phonezoo Account. Once you receive an email from support@phonezoo.com, you need to forward that message to @vzwpix.com. You will receive a text message on your phone. Instructions for use on the phone are given on the send results page on Phonezoo.
Ok, to make it work send it via email, dont ask me why that works and the other doesnt. Just trust me.
So… are there any updates on this situation? I’m able to receive PIX messages from anyone but PhoneZoo. I’m starting to wonder if Verizon is purposely blocking PhoneZoo PIX messages so their subscribers will be forced to purchase ringtones. If that’s the case, Verizon will start losing subscribers. Me being one of them.
***UPDATE***
Ok, so I was having problems getting other specific text messages from places like my bank trying to set up mobile banking…and Google Calendar alert service. So I called Verizon to let them know about this problem. They said they should have it resolved within 48 hours. This morning I tried to sign up for my mobile banking & my Google calendar and I was able to get the text messages… so I tried Phonezoo as well… and it worked! It took a couple hours to come thru but that is not uncommon. So whatever Verizon did to fix my messaging problem triggered them to fix my ringtones too

i have 2 phones with verizon, friend screwed me and wouldnt pay her part of bill, i feel like verizon is mad because they want us to pay for the ringtones through get it now. but,,,,,,my second phone is the pink razr, i have hacked into it and changed alot of settings, i hook it to my computer and make my own ringtones. then send them to everyone i know. but im not getting any ringtones from here or anywhere. at first i got them in less than 15 min. sometimes immediatley, but not now.
I never get my ring tones from this site… I’ve even waited days with no luck. I used another site, and that one took several hours (all of a sudden I was getting them at 4:30am!!!). It’s sort of frustrating, so I hope this gets fixed!!

I think Verizon is actively blocking. The pix messages I send from my phone to email work fine and fast.
I can’t get the ring tones to get to my phone enough. I got on here last night and tried to get about 4 and 1 come not the others. Is Version ever going to get this fixed or not. I think this would be a big problem for you guys on phonezoo, and I think this would lose a lot of customers after awhile. Becuase I know if it isn’t fix soon I won’t be back. It worked before you changed everything now it doesn’t are you sure it is version?

yeahh i havent gotten ANY ringtones sent to my phone within like the past month or two and i try like everyday but it never works. my picture messages are fine tho.. i just dont get ringtones anymore.? whats going on? and when will i revice my ringtones?!
I’m able to receive my ringtones if I email them to myself and then forward to my phone, but the sound quality is AWFUL. It sounds muffled and slightly distorted. The sound is better when it goes straight to the phone. I hope Verizon solves the problem soon. I’m getting very frustrated. Cingular users receive their ringtones instantly and without any problems.
I sent like 4 ringtones 2 months ago and i just tried it and they never came but when i receive like forwards with sounds from my friends i get them before you can say message! So idk what’s up with this but i need new ones!!!!!! reallyyyyyyyyyyy baddd…

Once again I know it is repetitive but this is piss-pore. I previously had Sprint and would receive the ringtones instantly, now I have switched to verizon and am lucky if I ever receive them at all (even by sending it via e-mail). We understand that the problem lies with Verizon but what Phonezoo needs to understand is that the majority of their users are Verizon customers so they should be working with them to fix the problem. For the time being until the problem can be fixed I recommend mobile17.com to everybody…the tones take alot longer but at least you will receive them…
I have a Krzr K1m with Verizon and when I email it and then forward to my phone I always get it. I never get them just sending it to the phone. Make sure you are forwarding correctly and it should work. Hope this helps it does take about 30 minutes to get it but I do get it.
I Have been having the issue as well with verizon. They are probably just being shady, i doubut they will try very hard to help another company provide free ring tones when verizon can make money doing it.
This problem has been going on for over 2 months now. Is verizon just ignoring its customers or does it really have a “problem” with messaging services?
I tried sending it to my email & forwarding it to my phone and it sent me a message said connection refused,why and someone help!!!
I have an LG VX8550 (chocolate) and haven’t been able to recieve the ringtones at all. I tried to send mine the normal way from the site 3 times and havn’t recieved it and tried through email 2 and got back messages saying error recieving, and i tried sumone else’s ringtone and havn’t recived any. Can they just fix this stupid problem, it’s becoming so annoying.
So this problem with the Verizon network still exsists. I called customer support and had them issue a trouble ticket as I can not even forward attached files from an email account to my phone!
I used phonezoo back in April to load ringtones via pixtexts and had no issue until recently.
I honestly beleive that if enough people continue to call Verizon technical support and flag this as an issue, they will fix the issue on the network. GO CALL NOW so we can enjoy phonezoo ringtones!

OK guys here is a pretty good solution to this big headache we are dealing with.
All you need is a micro SD with card reader for your PC.
1) Email your self the phpnezoo ringtone.
2) Save and rename it as a .mp3 file.
3) Make sure your microSD card is formatted by your cellphone: (system settings>memory>format>enter last four of phone number as code, then copy the ringtones into the “My Sounds” folder of the SD Card.
4)Install card into phone, goto Get Music and Tones/My Sounds, select ringtone and then SEND AS PIXTEXT TO YOURSELF. Open pix message and save file as ringtone.
This method is by far not as effiecient as the one click send from Phonezoo, but we really dont have other options and after reading forum after forum, it eliminates getting a USB Cable, Bluetooth dongle or BITPIM software for converting.
Bestbuy has 2gig cards onsale for 24.00 this week so go get one.

I think verizon is trying to force subscribers to purchase ringtones. At first I was getting them fine, within minutes, then sometime after Sept 8th it went from hours to days to never. I called tech support numerous times and all they say is that they do not support 3rd party websites. OK DUH, I’m not asking you to support them just explain to me A. DID YOU BLOCK THE SITE SO WE CAN’T GET FREE RINGTONES or B. Why was I able to get them prior to Sept 8th and after that date no? I finally got someone to open a ticket (after 2 months) and guess what the resolution was? They don’t support 3rd party websites…I am seriously considering switching providers if Verizon is going to treat subscribers in this manner. Their recorded message that you get when you’re on hold that says “Your problem is our problem and we will do our best to resolve your issue” is a bunch of CRAP seeings how they don’t even look at your issue when they see it has to do with phonezoo. I say everyone call Verizon and get a ticket opened, talking to tech support Tier 1 or Tier 2 and 3 won’t work. You have to get a ticket opened, that is the only way it can be tracked so that whoever reviews them monthly or whenever will finally have a bulb go off when they see numerous tickets opened for the same thing.

I had no problem with them for a while,but now I can’t even get one to send to my phone. Verizon is beging to SUCK and I wish I had never took a 2 year plan!! Don’t get me wrong, I love my v3m rzr phone, it’s just the Verizon service that SUCKS!!! And while I’m at it I might as well voice my disgust with Verizon that they don’t have roll over mins too!! Comon Verizon get with the program and give your valued customers a break for a change!!!

I sent three ringtones via email. I got two immediately, and forwarded them to my phone. They arrived within a few minutes.
The third never came. I resent it. No luck. Then again. (OK, phonezoo advises not to do so, but I did anyway.) So I finally got that last ringtone via email, and forwarded it to my phone. That tone arrived within minutes. But now I’ve getting this same (third) tone on my phone about FIVE TIMES, and I’ve only forwarded the email ONCE.

I am not receiving the text message on my LG cell phone. The problem seems to be that the format of either the message or the Ringtone itself (or both?) is not in a format that my phone will accept. Verizon says they are working with phone manufacturers to find a solution, but I don’t have much faith that a satisfactory solution will be found very soon.
The solution is probably to switch my wireless service as soon as possible.
Verizon sucks! They crippled BlueTooth, they crippled phone capibility and now they crippled PIX messaging. They suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
